Child Haven is now helping ten children and three adults in Afghanistan. The cost for this is $260 U.S. per month. An Afghani woman in Canada sends the money each month electronically and talks to them by phone. She says that the elderly widow who lives with some of the children in Afghanistan is so happy to have the support from Child Haven that she cries when she is talking to her relative in Canada.

The money enabled the orphaned siblings and a homeless uncle and aunt to move in with her and care for the children. Before that she was unable to sleep at night due to fear of roaming brigands.
