Fortunately, the children and staff in our Children's Homes in India, Nepal and Bangladesh, and in our educational support program in Tibet, are safe and well. Child Haven has been affected by being unable to hold our usual fund-raising events across Canada and the US, so your support for the 1,300 formerly destitute children in our homes will be most appreciated.

The CAE is working with Hardwick and surrounding community restaurants to recreate free Community Dinners each week. With available funding, they’ve offered to make a similar meal available for our event. Participating restaurants are paid by CAE thanks to generous grants including funding from Everyone Eats, a project of Southeastern Vermont Community Action with federal funds designed to help respond to Covid-19. We are aware that everyone has been affected by Covid-19 - financially, by extra time demands, by more difficult transportation, by challenges to get to grocery stores and farms as we did in times past. For the grant requirements, by accepting these free meals that person will be acknowledging that their food access (food security) has been affected by the pandemic.
