  Homes for destitute children

Helping Children in Need

Child Haven, founded in 1985, operates eight homes for destitute children - five in India, one each in Nepal, Tibet and Bangladesh.

Our Gandhinagar home cares for 55 children, 145 in Hyderabad, 270 in Kaliyampoondi near Chennai (Madras). Our new home in Bangladesh currently has 51 children and our Savarsai home, south of Mumbai (Bombay) houses 31 children. 285 children are cared for in Nepal and 41 in Tibet.

We also have a SoyaCow Centre and a Family Planning Awareness and Womens' and Childrens' Literacy Program, both in Ghaziabad.

We support the Maitreya Foundation in Delhi - a home for 21 disadvantaged Tibetan children in India.
